When the amazing women at Pearl Events contacted us about a proposal for a 1970s/Studio 54-themed Holiday Party for Facebook Austin at the Fairmont, we were beyond thrilled to dream up a rad evening of fabulous entertainment - all decked out in shiny and shimmery gold and sparkling silver.
RADICAL CHARACTERS
OUR CHER STOLLING TABLE
In researching the Studio 54 club scene, we learned that CHER was a regular, often glammed out for the occasion.
Taking this inspiration, we built a custom Cher-themed strolling table and brought in actress Rose Frezza to play this famed cultural icon all night long.
JOHN TRAVOLTA
But who would be on the dance floor? John Travolta ala Saturday Night Fever of course!
One of our favorite CP performers, Thomas Sommo, doned the white suit, dark hair, and high platform shoes of SNF's Tony Manero.
Not only did he greet guests in character at the start of the night, but guests could dance 1970s Disco-style all night with him on the Fairmont's dance floor.
GO-GO DANCERS GALORE
No swingin' 70s party would be complete without a lively dance floor - and our speciality dancers brought the energy and glam all night.
Our gold jumpsuit wearing Go-Go Dancers (Natalie, Natalia, and Ebony) took center stage and got the party started with the fabulous Matchmaker Band.
Our brand-new custom-made Disco Ball Head costumes made their debut (Alsandria and Janel wowed the crowd). Heads turned everywhere they went!

Our talented and intuitive fortune tellers, aura readers, fashion sketch artists, and close-up magicians kept guests intrigued, surprised, and delighted outside of the dance party.
STILT WALKERS
(OUR SPECIALTY)
No CIRCUS PICNIC event is complete without a pair of our amazing stilt walkers (our original specialty!) - especially with Jessica and Lexter rocking these magic sparkling costumes.
They started out the evening greeting guests as they first entered the hotel and then kept the party going on the dance floor (our stilt walkers use peg stilts so they can walk freely and dance!).
(Yes, that is his real hair.)
With 19 costumed CIRCUS PICNIC entertainers and a guest list of 2,500 for a 5 hour long party, we knew we were in for an epic evening - but we had no idea how much fun this crowd would be! The dance floors were packed, attendees couldn't wait to get their fortunes told and their portraits sketched, and the evening flew by.
